Can anyone identify this weed and tell me how to get rid of it.
It is spreading from an empty lot beside us and is taking over our backyard. We've sprayed it with round up and killex but it comes back. Seems to thrive is hotter, drier weather and sandy soil but also does well during wet periods. Not much of a root base so we've resorted to raking it out but if the roots break it seems to multiply.

Try Sedum acre. There are lots of varieties & species of Sedum :)

Succesful little devil isn't it? Every "leaf" can root like the infamous Mexican Hat Plant.
I have never seen it escape in any amount in the Fraser Valley, but it sure is a weed in my yard. I see it's role as a small convenient ground cover in drier sunny areas, it has bigger ideas!

...at least it's small. If it's not in an area that's inflammable you could try a tiger torch or Weed Heater.

...great for green roofs as are becoming popular in ON.
