Indoor tree is dying please help - pic attached

    I just bought an indoor tree. It is dying and I don't
    know what type it is. I have attached a picture of it.
    If you know the name and/or how I could care for
    it. Thank you so much for your help! Dawn

    Your plant appears to be Dracaena fragrans, Corn Plant.

    I have one of those and found out if I watered it to much it turned brown. I just left it alone and watered once every 8-9 days. I fertilized once a month and kept it near a window. My has grown from 2 ft. to 6 ft. now and I've had it 3 years. I also washed the leaves about every 3 months.
