I bought a miniture elephant plant on saturday in PA. All was well until Monday. One by one it started dropping its leaves. From this morning until I came home from work it had nearly 30 little leaves all on the ground :( I have watered it once, have it in the window by the sun. What else do I need to do?

Reactions like this are often due to severe inadequacies in environmental conditions, such as the wrong moisture level (you have already mentioned watering, if it didn't catch you by surprise and dry out maybe it's actually too wet) or wrong temperatures. If this is a tropical aroid maybe it got chilled.

Thank you for your advise. I am going to stop watering it for the next few days. When I bought the plant it was outside on Saturday (roughly 80 degrees) and now I have it inside in my window. I absolutly love this tree, and hope it doesn't die on me. Alexandra
