This is a plant, popular in Jamaica as an indoor potted plant. I am not sure what the flower looks like, but the leaves are lightly spotted and the plant has a very elegant look, reminiscent of an ornamental Asian species. It is known as Chinese Bamboo. Can anyone identify this for me? Thanks.
At first I thought it was Dracaena Surculosa, but after reviewing the photos I could find on the internet, I decided it could not be the same plant for 2 reasons. The "unknown" plant has extremely faint spots, whereas the Dracaena Surculosa appears to have consistently bright spots. The second feature is the Dracaena Surculosa appears to have lots of leaves, whereas all the plants of the "unknown" one has sparse leaves, regardless of age. It is not at all bushy. How can I be sure?
Hi, I am new to this forum, but your plant looks suspiciously like a tricyrtis, the toad lily which has feint spots on the young leaves which fade as the plant matures. If it is, it has very unusual smallish flowers, lots of them which has 6 petals, 3 of one shape and three of a different shape. Reminds me a bit of a mini orchid. I am not sure if this is correct, because I grow tricyrtis outside!!
