Hello, I am currently living in southern Japan. My father is an avid gardener, and has asked me to bring a nutmeg tree home with me to Vancouver. I realise this is pretty obscure, but does anyone know what the import laws regarding this are? If I need to get a certificate, how should I go about doing that? Thanks!
Very unlikely you will be able to do so. Note that Nutmeg is not hardy outdoors in the Vancouver climate; it is native to tropical Indonesia: http://www.uni-graz.at/~katzer/engl/Myri_fra.html
