Impatiens Oliveri / Poor Mans Rhododendron/ olivers touch me not I would like to find info on watering, fertilizing, type of fertilizer. and Soil for this Plant.
In the SF Bay Area this plant is very adaptable. Handles sun, part sun, shade well. Relatively drought tolerant, but tends to wilt a bit in the combination of sun and moderate heat. Multiple specimens on my property get watered anywhere from every 2-3d to random q1-2wks in the shade. Succulant stems can be burned to a rusty color with too much sun. Any frost damages it quickly. Does well in a variety soils. Stem cuttings propagate easily. Flowers best in part sun. In a large pot they tend to ultimately loose a lot of the attractive foliage - not sure why - anyone have any ideas about this? Fertilizing???
