    Looks like Dieffenbachia seguine (syn. D. maculata, D. picta), Dumb Cane.

    I agree, Dieffenbachia, very easy to over-water. Allow the top inch of the potting soil to dry out between waterings. Provide bright filtered light with some direct sun during the winter months. Keep in rooms above 60° and stand pots in trays of moist pebbles for humidity.
