Hello :) My name is Jazzmin and I am new to growing plants. I love to cook and I like to use fresh herbs so I've recently acquired mint, chives, sweet basil & thai basil that I am growing inside my apartment. I am hoping that I do not kill them as plants are not something I know a lot about. I came to this board hoping to learn. All I know is to only give them water when the soil feels dry and not to pack the soil in tight when re-potting... anything else I should know about growing herbs on my kitchen table? :)

I also am a newbie to this forum, but I am not so new to gardening. If you want to have success with this herb pot, try to give these herbs natural light, maybe on a table on the balcony of your apartment. I found when I was growing them indoors, they became very stringy, not enough light. Maybe you could put them in front of a window or under a countertop fluorescent light. Anything in a pot always needs added nutrients, because the plants always use what is in the dirt up quickly. A garden centre at the store (to buy fertilizer - for vegetables ) should be able to help with your selection.
