Here is a little plant that I like, Ilex x meserveae, which has been mentioned a few times on the forums, but not with photos. These photos were taken at the end of August, 2018. And a few days ago, with flower buds.
This is a particular dwarf cultivar with the cross being represented by multiple different named selections. With there not being anything grown routinely under the hybrid name only.
I can't come up with a better name - all I know is the Ilex x meserveae part. I wonder even if these three little shrubs are different selections. The one at the back in this photo has paler green leaves, is not as dense, and has no flowers. Maybe it's just not as healthy. The shrub at the front in the photo above has one (male) flower, and I don't see any spent flowers or buds. The one at the right front has several male flowers. A few of the flowers have five petals.
