Identify this Cupressus Species...

    Looks OK for Cupressus lusitanica, but cypress identification isn't easy. What is the overall colour of the tree?

    Frequency of Cupressus lusitanica depends on where you are; it is very widely grown as a commercial timber crop in some warm temperate areas, and naturalised in parts of Africa and Asia. Not sure about California, but it wouldn't surprise me greatly to find it planted there.
