Identification: Identification please

    Please help identify this plant we "inherited" when we bought a different house. Can we lop it off and start over since it's touching the ceiling? Any help with care would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Looks like Dracaena marginata, Madagascar Dragon Tree.

    JK is correct, and yes you can lop it off re plant the tip, for another plant, and more growth will come out the sides
