I have been told this is a Persian Violet, but the flowers are a different shape, the leaves are not shiny, they have fine hairs and there is no perfume. The plant I have is also long lived, easily propagated by division and flowers almost continuously. Any ideas
No it's defo not an African Violet, I have plenty of those too, this plant is quite different in flower shape and habit
It is an african violet. There are many hybrids, flower shape, leaf size and stem length can be variable. http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/media/36347/African-violet
