I moved into my first house and have a bunch of shrubs in the front yard. I need to figure out how to prune them, and I'm totally clueless about plants. Shrub #4 (Located in SW Ontario)
Dwarf Alberta Spruce Picea glauca var. albertiana 'Conica'. Best not pruned other than to remove dead foliage, or any stray shoots that develop vigorous non-dwarf growth.
Excellent. Do you think I'm safe to assume that, since it is a dwarf, it is OK to keep it this close to the foundation? I wondered whether the roots might damage the foundation if this tree gets too big.
