Can you help me figure out what this houseplant is? I bought it about 5 years ago at a nursery in Prince George. It has been infamous among my friends and room-mates because of its unusually phallic, pink-purple flower buds. We've spent months on Google trying to figure out what it is really called with no luck at all. If you can tell us this plant's real name, you will be our hero forever.

I've attached a picture of it. Can you help?

    THANK YOU!
