I think I killed my Grape Vine

    So here is my problem. I have had this vine for about 3 years. It is under some hanging plants on the edge of my deck. The hanging plants fell on the vine and pretty much destroyed the vine. The "trunk" was split in two places (nearly into to parts) and completely seperated from at the base (meaning that the trunk was literally cut in two at the base).

    Can I try and root the two areas with rooting hormone?

    Will the "base" area, which has no leaves, grow back (ie it looks like it is just a stump)?

    Just looking for some advice or direction.

    BTW I am in Atlanta Georgia and the temp here reaches about 90 (or over) everyday.

    Best to leave it alone and see if it will sprout from the base. If this was a grafted vine, the regrowth will unfortunately not be your previous variety.

    You can try to root some of the upper growth, see this:

    and treat it like a green cutting.
