Hello, it's the first time I try to grow something so I don't know a lot about gardening. I have 3 Scarlet Runner beans plants that developed bumps on their first leaves. A bit of a background: sprouted in a jiffy peat pod quickly transplanted to a small container with soil and composted manure Kept indoors with a grow light because the past few weeks were rainy with strong winds Plant are growing their first leaves, for some reason they have a super long stalk. around 5- 6 inches I started hardening them off yesterday, they spent an 1 hour in the shade I checked on the stalk, under the leaves and on the leaves but I don't see any pest Those seeds were given to me by an organism that promotes organic gardening in small space From what I've read online, I think it could be the mosaic virus? If this is the case I'm guessing the seeds I was given were tainted. Thank you for your help
I had a look at someone's very comprehensive "what is wrong with my bean plants" page, and didn't see a match to your issue here. I am hoping someone who grows beans and has first-hand knowledge will pipe up.
