i bought two hybiscus plants this spring and they were beautiful. living in n.y. i transplanted them into big pots and brought them into the house and they are doing just fine after i cut them back. i took a couple of stems i cut and put them in potting soil and am wondering if they will grow as i was told they would.. seeing as i am very new to this plant ,was the information correct and did i transplant the right way. seems like that something is missing but i dont know. i have them in the north window for light. thank you

I am guessing you are growing tropical hibiscus. They can be started from cuttings. Some will root easier than others. The northern window will get the plants trough the winter, but they probably would do better with more light--especially the cuttings.

Here are a couple links from a site I often recommend about hibiscus.
