    Hi,

I have this lane tree that is alive up to the middlewith dead branches on the top (see attached picture)?

Is there any special way of cutting the dead branches?

I don't want to kill it. I want the tree to grow and if possible to revive the dead branches too.

Does anyone has any advice before I just cut them?

    Thank you,

    Arohl

Just cut off the dead dry leafless wood. But make sure you don't cut off any live branches that have just shed their leaves for the winter already! If you're not confident about doing it, get a gardener in to do it.

Do I cut the branches in any particular angle?

Just straight across would be OK.

    I will do so.

Do you know any place in the Lower Mainland that can test the acidity of my soil?

    Thanks!
