I am a container gardener and I have a problem with rhodos in containers. My Rhodos seem to be doing good in container for four to five years then iron deficiency starts sometimes I lost a plant. How can one acidify soil without using ammonia sulphate (sometimes it works), peat moss (very slow) and effectively eradicate the iron deficiency problem???
Urine will work best. Rhodo's prefer their nitrogen in the form of ammonia, the same as what we expel. I just mix about 8 parts water to 1 part urine. It does not smell and they love it plus its free
