   I just purchased my first palm - I potted it, since I'm not really sure about hardiness here in Prince Rupert. It is about a foot tall. Can I expect much growth this year?

   The tree is pretty hardy, and said to be fast growing, different sources have a maximum height of 20-30 feet.
