    Hi everyone,

Does anyone have suggestions on how to transplant fruit trees? It would be done now but I am wondering about things like should they be pruned, how should they be treated after the transplantation, etc. Any advice?

Best done when leafless. It's late now. If you must move them before fall go ahead, expect some stunting of new top growth, same as with newly purchased barerooted stock from a nursery. Dig around them to cut roots, lift and move without soil if too large to move with intact soil balls containing much of root system. Note: better to move bareroot with more intact roots still present than to cut roots closer to stem so as to get intact soil ball.
