    Hi;

    I'm really hoping someone can help me. I have a house plant called "Corn/Cane" which I believe is a member of the Palm family. I have had it in the same location for years and it was healthy. It started to show signs of stress and I decided to transplant into a larger pot. Since then it has taken a turn for the worse. The leaves appear to be dying from the bottom up. It does not seem to have any infestation, I am watering the same as I always have and I have not changed it's location. The bottom leaves have completely dried and have turned yellow. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible I over watered? I love this plant and am somewhat desperate for a solution. Thank You in advance.

    Perhaps a Dracaena fragrans, 'corn plant'.
    Please give us a photo.

    Chances are it's a dracaena fragrans, which is often called a Corn plant. One thing you should know is that nearly all dracaena plants drop their lowest leaves, and it's normal for them to do that. Some plants will hang on to them longer than others, but eventually you end up with mostly a bare trunk and a clump or two of leaves at the top. That's why they are often sold with two or three canes in one pot of different heights, to make it look more like it's got leaves all over. It is very difficult to judge just by what you've written, what might be wrong with it. When you say it looked stressed, for example, what did that look like ? Pictures help a lot with this kind of thing.
