House plants and these bugs i can't get rid of!

I have had these stupid little bugs for years I can't get rid of. They loved a purple passion plant I had for years. They finally killed it. They are so tiny you can hardly see them they are white or almost see through, ()shaped like that with points at each end, they only move when you water the plant. They leave white spots or eggs on the plants and no matter what i try, bug spray or soapy water they keep coming back it is a battle I have fought for years and I want them gone. They love a fuzzy type plant to live on but now they are moving into all the plants and its making me crazy! Please tell me how to get rid of them. Before they kill some special plants I bought from the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. Thank you for your time and trouble. Maron
