Question about bark disease. Whats going here? I've been searching everywhere for answers.. With no luck... Its starting to spread to other hollys on my property.
The following documents suggest sapsucker or squirrel damage: Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker Holly – Insect and Animal Damage to Trunk The third photo shows both rectangular and round holes which leads me to think sapsucker since I can't see squirrels having the means to drill holes.
