We have a wide deep 6 foot Holly Hedge and inside it at the left end, grows a Wild Cherry (now 20 feet tall) with fruit now appearing. In the immediate area, some large Holly Stalks have died and turned brown. Is the Cherry killing the Holly?

Unlikely, I've seen Holly and Wild Cherry growing next to each other on many occasions, and they get along together perfectly well.

Look to see if the Holly has been damaged in any way, such as having the bark gnawed off by deer or rabbits.
