    Hi all-

calling for folks to submit photos and ideas on their hobby greenhouses. My biggest headache is on how to keep tropicals (with constant temps around 22C) along my cool growers (nocturnal temps down to 15C) year round.

I'm thinking of placing plastic sheets down the greenhouse to "subdivide" up and partition the space up.

...then there's the issue of heating and cooling....

Your biggest problem will be wind - so be sure you check very carefully the maximum windspeed your area gets vs. what the g-house is rated for and how well it's tied down. Go to www.charleysgreenhouses.com (or a version of that) and start looking there, and Google for Can. sites. I should tell you that while your idea sounds good on paper, I don't know how well it will work in practice (whether you can contain the right amount of heat in one area and still keep the other cold enough - and it could be a very expensive lesson if it doesn't work out. You might be better off just to have two separate houses, one with proper heat (and humidity, and shade cloth) and the other unheated. You can use special fans in summer for cooling, but the usual thing is a manual or automatically raised vent at the top corner(s) of the house. Fans can be too drying depending on various factors. And heating can be tricky too, as well as dangerous if you don't do your research. Good luck.
