I'd like to grow herbs indoors so I can access them year round but don't have much room. I'd like to group herbs with similar needs together in one pot in front of a south facing window. Which herbs should be together? Which will need to be taken outside in summer and indoors in winter? I'd like to grow chives, dill, rosemary, basil, cilantro, sage, oregano, thyme, winter savory, and mint.
    Thanks,
    Terri g

Nice selection of herbs. Both garlic and onion chives should be grown outdors but keep them seperate, about 5 feet apart, Mint, oregano, sage, winter savory, thyme are all perrennial and can be all grown outdoors in a herb garden. Rosemary is a tender Perrenial, I grow mine on a East facing window all year round, if you choose to grow it outdoors you may want to mulch it depending on how bad your winters get. Cilantro and dill are annuals so you can grow them indoors over winter but dill gets pretty tall. Hope this helps
