    Hello all,
I need some help identifying my houseplant. I was told it is a type of "succulent" but I would like some specifics so I can take better care of it. Also, I am having some problems with my cats liking to chew the leaves. Is there some type of home made solution I can spray on them that would deter my cats? Thank you all.

Crassula ovata - Jade plant. I haven't found a single thing yet that can be applied to deter kitty-munching, but I've had great success in growing a plant or two specifically for the cats. They seem to like Spider plants and beet greens, both of which are quite simple to grow in pots, and neither of which is in any way harmful to them.
