    Hi,

I am new and I hope I post in the right forum. My calla lily stems keep dropping down even when they are still small and thin, they don't want to grow straight. Did I do something wrong? Am I not watering enough or giving enough nutrient?

I cut off the crooked stems and now the plant's got just leaves, should I remove the leaves as well? Will I get flowers again next year?

    Thanks,
    Tang-Hong

Callas need a couple months' rest period after flowering. I think it likely that yours is entering this phase. Reduce water till the foliage withers---wait 2-3 months, then repot and water. Keep it in a warmish, sunny area, and evenly moist.
Callas contain oxalic acid, so keep any pets &/or kids from munching on it!

By this time of the year, the plants will be in a decline and storing up energy in the corms for next year's flowers. Leave the foliage alone until it dies back on its own. In your area, you should be able to let them overwinter in the ground without needing to overwinter the corms indoors. New growth will appear in the spring. They will need a good dose of bulb fertilizer next spring.

The crooked stems you cut off were probably producing fruit. They normally droop after flowering.
