had a post on here before about some apples trees and what kind they are.The green apples has now turned to dark and light green; The other apple tree turn to red apples;seee pic below.Red apple has black spots which maybe a disease.I think the gree apples are the granny smith apples;not sure about the red apples. Can anyone help with any information as to what kind they maybe.
Hi, Sorry I can't help with identification, but it looks like scab on your red apple. I have had this problem with my Gala apple, and this year I sprayed with sulphur and oil in February as soon as there was a sunny day without danger of frost. I have a great crop this year, with very little fruit damage from scab, so it does work. Sumac
There are too many kinds to identify yours with this amount of information. At least six mature fruits of each should be shown to a fruit expert. Where fall fruit shows are held these may include identification tables where volunteers examine samples and suggest variety names. Some found trees are pippins (spontaneous seedlings) and will therefore not belong to any clonal cultivar. If you want to see if yours might turn out to be one or two common, distinctive cultivars that can be recognized by someone looking in here show six mature fruits of each, including one of each cut in half and presented with the two halves facing the viewer, to show the appearance of the freshly exposed flesh. Arranging the fruits on their sides, on a contrasting background (like white paper or a lightly colored table) so the shapes (profiles) of each can be readily discerned would be best.
sorry to answer back so late;have been moving;and now all the apples are gone from tree.I,ll try again next year with what kind of apples i may have;with new pics
