Help to identify tree.

    I bought an apple tree from a nursery but it doesn't look like any apple tree I have in my home orchard. The leaf has one lobe offset with the edges serrated and each leaf stem has two small leaves at the base. The leaves and new stems have a lot of purple color to them and turn dark green as they mature. Is this an apple tree and if so any ideas on what variety it might be?
