Help to identify this little plant

    That plant is a dwarf juniper shrub, probably the cultivar "Blue Star" or similar. It is a hardy cool climate plant will not thrive indoors in a heated room. You could grow it in a pot outdoors if you have a suitable location.

    As dt-van says - it is a cool climate plant. That means it is adapted to winter freezing and snow, etc. I suspect Costa Rica is going to be too warm and humid for it, leading to high risk of fungal infection.

    I am thinking of keeping it in the office with air conditioning, do you think this will affect the plant?
