The autmn season was late here on the eastern seaboard this year, we had great warm weather well into October, my problem is the tomatoe plants (8 to be exact) continue to produce even as I write this. What is best way to handle this problem now?
Do I just yank up the plants fruit and all and discard? How can I insure that the fruit that has fallen to the ground won't sprout next season. Oye vey....does anyone need some fresh canned tomatoes?

    thanks
