Hello, we are interested in planting a fig tree in our yard, but I am not sure of the variety to choose. We have 1/2 an acre, so some room, but not enough for a full size 40 foot wide tree. (although from what i read - they will not get that big here) There isn't a good location to put the tree on the south side of the house, so it will have to go in the yard. Our soil is very sandy. I was wondering also if I should plant it in a pot so that it could be brought into the storage room in the winter I appreciate all your help. Thank-you Heidi
