Hi everyone! Really hope someone here can help, we've had the pictured cactus in our family for many years but it seems to be looking in a poor way at the moment. The two main shoots have fallen in over under their own weight and don't look in good shape at all though there are two new shoots coming off them that look okay. Does anyone know what we can do to bring it back to a healthy, happy cactus again?
That looks bad. Can you take a photo of the large stem in the back, closest to the window? It looks as if it's upper part is dark grey (which would indicate rot).
Here's pics of the back stem, doesnt look good, I wonder if there's a way to save the new shoots coming off it?
I don't see any clear signs of rot, so my best guess is that they have just bent under their own weight. It happens sometimes to tall cacti grown indoors. The smaller shoots can be cut off, left to heal for a few weeks and rooted.
