It was growing white powdery mold, so I churned the soil and sprinkled some baking powder home remedy. Can anybody tell me if this is nutrient problem or pest problem?

    Clivia plant maybe?

It looks over-potted (pot too large) and over-watered/poor draiange if the soil is growing mold and the plant has yellowing leaves.

You might want to check the roots and make sure they have not rotted. I'd find a smaller pot that's only an inch larger then the root-ball and throw away the moldy soil, use new well draining soil.
Make sure the new pot has a drain hole on the bottom.
