I received a Japanese Maple a month or so ago. When it arrived it had 2 different labels on it. One said Bloodgood the other said Skeeters Broom, is very any way to know for sure which it actually is if either ? Pictures attached
Too open for a broom, so I would hedge towards Bloodgood, although it is far too green IMO. Although it may have been kept in a lot of shade prior to you receiving it hence the lack of red. But tbh I struggle to say it's a Bloodgood when you see so much green. Sorry Stuart, that's the best I can offer.
Thank you for taking the time to post, as it has just gone in to the garden it will be interesting to see the colour next year. I'm not really to concerned as long as it grows in to an attractive tree.
