Looks like: Radermachera sinica, China Doll; Hypoestes phyllostachya (syn. H. sanguinolenta), Polka Dot Plant.
junglekeeper is correct. both are low-light plants. they do best in a situation where they get indirect light - either through sheer curtains or off on the side of the room so they aren't in direct sunlight. both also need to be kept moist - not completely soggy, just moist. also, they (both) will get leggy...the polka dot already is. to avoid/correct this, pinch back the new growth at the tips for a bit - the plant will start to compensate by sending out new growth lower on the stalks. once it is nice and full again, you can stop pinching back.
ok thanks....so by pinching back you mean I cut the tips off?? These are my first plants haha so im new to it all.
Pinching or cutting back the tips of a plant will make many plants grow much more fuller looking. Pinch or cut the tips back all over a couple of inches or more back just above a pair of leaves so you won't have an ugly bare stem showing. New growth will emerge at the cut/pinch points for a better healthier looking fuller plant. You can even take cutting to fill in an bare spots (spring/summer months) and then keep the cuttings pinched back as they grow.
