Can anyone help me identify this plant? I bought this plant in May 2005 when I got my first job after graduating. When I bought it, the stems were brown, and it had flowers. In August 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit, and I was forced to leave my office for about two months. The plant had not been watered during that time, and it looked pretty bad when I returned. I kept watering it, though, and after a while, all the original brown branches died out, but new green shoots grew from the ground. A few times I have had to cut rather large branches and shoots, as it grows top heavy and falls over.

I'd like to figure out what the proper care is for the plant so that I can hopefully get it to flower again. My wife thought it was a jade plant when I bought it, but the leaves aren't thick and succulent like the jade plants I have seen. A coworker thought it might be Swedish ivy, but it doesn't appear to match up with any of the pictures of Swedish ivy I have seen.

Thanks in advance for your help.
