Welcome. Looks like Camellia japonica. Many different cultivars. See.... http://images.google.com/images?q=c...1I7SUNA_en-GB&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi
hi it is sasanqua camellia http://images.google.bs/imgres?imgu...ox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=N&um=1
My understanding of Camellias is that Camellia sasanqua flowers from September to December in the USA. It also has smaller leaves (1" long by 1" wide) than C. japonica, also smaller flowers. As the pic clearly shows it in flower in late March I thought it was C. japonica. An id feature is that C. sasanqua has soft downy stems
thank you so much. I love this plant and have spent so many hours searching for what it could be. now I know what it is so I can find out its care and needs, I love happy plants :) thank you again.
