i bought a plant from wal-mart but they couldn't tell me what it was only that it was an indoor plant. it is green and white striped on the top of the leaves and purpleish on the bottom i just replanted it into another planter but its still not happy. if i water it the leaves turn brown and die off if i don't water it it dies if i put it in the light it dies and if i don't put it in the light it dies. what do i do it really is pretty but i am out of ideas! i have no idea what this thing is or what it wants. its leaves are long and it has a thick stem that is also pupleish in color.

Provide intermediate light and moisture levels, instead of soaking it and then letting it dry out completely, etc.
