Identification: help! can anyone identify this plant.

    I found this plant in a pot several years ago and left it to grow in a sunny window. Every spring it produces these colourful small flowers. Does anyone know what it is and how to care for it. Thanks

    WOW! What a beauty! Never saw flowers like those! Hope someone can ID it 'cause I'd love to have one.

    a picture of the whole plant would be helpful!

    from what little i can see, it seems like it might be in the tillisandia group.

    Looks very much like Billbergia nutans .Common name Queen's Tears.

    Thanks Luddite you were right , it was Queens tears, and I have all the info now to look after it properly.
