    Hey Everybody,

The names Paul and I'm having problems with my freshly planted cedars(8 weeks ago).

I went to Art Knapps with a sample and they gave me the pictured item. I applied 2x with about 10 days between treatments. I just took the pics today, 5 days after the last treatment. How long does it take to kill, and am I using the right stuff?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis) not cedars (Cedrus). They look quite healthy to me.

The white stuff looks like dried mud, not fungi. Try a hose and a stiff brush!

What sort of texture does it have? It really does look like something stuck to the foliage, not a disease. If it was a disease, there would be some sign of the foliage suffering - turning yellow or brownish - whereas the leaves are a healthy green right beside and under the white stuff. I'm perfectly serious, try a hose and a stiff brush, I think you'll find the leaves are OK.

BTW, I'm referring to what's visible on the clearest pic, DSC03805.jpg
