I have a Helleborus niger which was planted too deep and is struggling. It did not flower this past season.
Can I dig it up with a large and deep root ball and replant it at the correct level now?

Also I have a Helleborus x hybridus which is in too much shade (barely any bloom compared to others in more sun). I would like to move it as well. It has one or two blooms now. When should I move it?

I find this is a good time of year to move any hellebores. If the rootball is large and deep enough they don't seem to miss a beat.
