hardy plant lists

I'm a landscape architect working out of Calgary, and have projects in Osoyoos, Revelstoke and Grand Forks that I'm trying to develop hardy plant lists for. I'm particularly interested in a native trees, shrubs and perennials. Any suggestions?

 

I would begin by visiting my nearest bookstore and try to find out if they have any texts on native Canadian plants.
Also check for garden clubs in your area.
