Hamamelis with no scent

Hi,
Three years ago, I planted, close to my back door, a shrub of Hamamelis 'Pallida' which I knew should have a powerful scent. However, although it has flowered well and has pale flowers, it has had absolutely no scent. If it fails this year it is on it's way. Anyone know if there are scentless cultivars out there or a reason why it has failed to produce. Thanks for any insights.

 

There are incorrect plants on the market as 'Pallida'. However, I have never encountered a completely scentless Hamamelis.
