My son bought me a jade plant for Mother's Day. I would like to know if I can grow it outdoors on my deck here in BC? If so, which exposure is best? Thank you.

I think it will be better as a house plant. Definitely could not take a winter here.

We have a small Jade we put outside every spring, matter of fact we brought it out about 10 days ago. You want to make sure you acclimatize it slowly and carefully with respect to light exposure, if you put it straight into the blazing sun you'll see an awful lot of scorched leaves. We bring ours back in around mid-September.
