Ok. I got the right name for the plant my friend bought this time. It's a Euonymus. It did not come with any planting or growing instructions. From my books, I see that there are many species. But this genus seems suited for the Vancouver area. If anyone has any experience with this plant, advice on helping it thrive or other comments, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    don't baby euonymus

Euonymus is fairly easy to grow, but it doesn't like much attention. Plant it in the hottest section of your garden, & don't overwater.
Last year my Fireglow euonymus died, but I couldn't figure out why. This spring, tons of new shoots appeared!
    Enjoy your great new plant.
