I'm working on an assignment for a Japanese magazine to write and photograph trees in Vancouver. Any favourites?
pickup a copy of Gerald Straleys book, Trees in Vancouver. it has good listings for mature specimens.
Native, exotic, any interesting trees (or tree stories...) will do. The only criteria, I suppose, is that they're impressive. For example, the tree I discovered not long ago and have been recommending to people ever since: a spectacular Caucasian Wingnut in the West End at Chilco and Comox. And thanks for the book tip, Paul. It was on my list, along with Stoltmann's Hiking Guide to the Big Trees of Southwestern British Columbia and...?
