Hi there- somehow grass is growing up and through my lavender plants. I even tried cutting the lavender right back to 5 inches or so to try and get at the grass. Do you have any suggestions or products? I am not opposed to sprays. is there something that kills only grass?
    Thanks, erica,

Digging and pulling really only options for grass interwoven with shrubs and perennials, it being just too easy to get herbicide on adjacent foliage of plants you are trying to keep. If lavender is getting old and woody discard it, grass and all and replant with fresh starts in clean ground. You could wait a season before replanting in same spot, spend it forking out remaining grass fragments or finishing them off with herbicide.
